” There is that which can change and that which is changeless.
The task in therapy is not to make one into the other but to separate the two.”

James Hillman

Sometimes people feel clear about why they want to come for some therapy sessions. Sometimes there is less clarity. Either way, an appointment provides a confidential, respectful space to talk through and explore what is troubling a person.

Having the support and insight of an experienced therapist, who has been trained to work with difficult thoughts and feelings, often enables people to come to terms with what has happened to them in the past; make more sense of what is currently going on for them; and to feel better resourced to face into their future, in order to lead a more fulfilled and enjoyable life.

Some of the areas/issues I have many years of experience in, and have worked effectively with, include:

  • Anxiety
  • Depression
  • Bereavement and Loss
  • Sexual abuse and violation
  • Post traumatic stress
  • Relationship difficulties
  • Addictive behaviours
  • Anger
  • Feeling stuck
  • Loss of faith
